TL: Making a custom sub box

Take your pick... You can build the box out of wood, and just make a nice square box to more or less fit in your trunk. Or you can do a nice fiberglass one. Obviously the fiberglass box will be harder and probably cost more, but it should also look better when you're done...
As for size of the box, you'll need to provide some external dimensions for your trunk. With a 15" L7, you can pretty much say goodbye to the entire trunk, the sub needs the space to breathe.

Well get the max measurements of how big you want the box in ur trunk i'd say around 4 cubes would be slammin. I had a 15" l7 in my car think it was about 3.5 cubes (i think) but mine was in a cl so no help to u. Once you have the dimensions go here and type em in http://reaudio.com/speaker_box/LPort_Box_Calc.html . go from htere. And for wood 3/4 mdf tite bond 2 for glue and if you want use screws ( I dont the glue works great and my current set up is way louder than my old l7 so if it holds ur will to). Have u built one before? Also where are you located you might find someone near you to build it for you or give you a guiding hand. My 1st couple boxes turned out so so, but practice makes perfect. A tl's trunk is huge my boy has a 05 on 20's it looks killer.

There's a link I put in the DIY thread at the top of the page called "Design Speaker Box and/or Calculate Air Space" which would be a great starting point for you guys to read.
