Looking to do a 2.5" screen in a TL mirror.....

Anyone want to be the first? I will offer a pretty significant discount to the first person....we normally charge $950 including the monitor, and it will look like this (this is one I just finished for a customer in his BMW):

We'd be doing the first one, or possibly two, for $650 including everything (shipping too). All I need is for you to send me your factory mirror.

Hey Ron, did you ever check to see if that would pass inspection in Jersey? I dunno, they seem to be sticklers for everything.

How easy is it to see when sitting in a seat? Do you really have to strain to make out the picture?

The picture is VERY easy to see....it's as easy to see as you see it in the above pictures, and YES, it does pass inspection.

Question

What kind of screen do you use? Brand?

Is the process reversable?

How the hell do you take off the mirror to send it to you???

It's made by accele....same one we have in the BMW, and the same one pictured above. I believe the TL has a set screw that needs to be loosened, and then the mirror slides UP and off. Not exactly sure, but I will check mine when I get home.

The process is reversible, but you would just have to have a new piece of glass cut. We DO NOT cut the tv into the glass, it is physically BEHIND the glass, and the reflective parts are removed where the monitor is mounted.

I use a lot of sharp screens, and all the ones I used were composite video in. Are these screens new? Did they come with a schematic or something?

Isn't that screen supposed to be used as a screen when you reverse. Cause i forgot where i seen that mirror before. And somewhere on http://value-caraudio.com/Merchant2/...y_Code=INPARTS they sell the spoiler with the camera on the back so you can connect both.

our rear view mirrors have that night autodim thing.... would installing this screen effect that? would it dim the screen so it'd be hard to see at night?
