Lines on Screen

After installing the Navi to DVD converter I am getting lines on my screen when the engine is on... is it possible to do something about that?
Thanks.

its a common problem that everyone's still looking collectively for a solution. Our best guess is that its a grounding issue.... Also perhaps bad shielding of the signal wires. a 12 volt voltage regulator for the power input would also help... but i don't think anyones really tried any of this out yet to see if it works.

Actually, the lines on the screen with the car running are a standard characteristic of poor power wire filtering on video gear. An outboard filter works and there are confirming posts in the AV section... as you should remember, akim, you commented on it..
