Line Converter Ques.

I have a Kenwood KCS-SW1 powered sub for my truck.

Now, since I have the stock single CD headunit in my 04 F-150 SCAB, what would be the best way to install it. The unit has RCA preamp and speaker-level inputs.

Would it be be better to tap right off the rear speakers using and go into the speaker level inputs or get a line converter and run RCA's to it.

Or would it make no difference.

Here is the specs on the unit http://www.crutchfield.com/S-e5Ot6tg...sp?i=113KSCSW1

Thanks...,.,

I would do this. It's easier & you won't have to deal with a turn on lead. My basslink is connected this way. Run power to the battery run a ground to somewhere in the back & your done.

Understood as far as the power. Dont I need to hook up the remote switch?

And I assume by quoting me, you would just tap off the speakers and use the speaker level inputs? And not get a RCA converter. Am I correct or did I miss something..

If you use the speaker inputs, the sub will use it's own auto turn on/off. You only need a remote turn on lead if your using the RCA jacks.
