well it seems that it has been a bit slow in here lately so lets have a little fun. Everyone should chime in with what they think

That being said here is what is going on. They say a fool and his money are soon parted. well I am a fool and there goes my money.i just got a new Elemental designs 12k.14. I love it is have been great turning heads in the shop with this nomex coned piston style driver. Nonetheless i am about to order the new eD 12kv2 dual 2ohm sub along with the new eD line of amps. Unfortunately they aren't slated to ship for a few months so i need to find a decent setup for the time being for my current ed sub.

This is where the fun begins. A few of the guys and myself have been getting restless in the shop so we are making my car the project car of the moment. The problem is we aren't real sure what we want to do. We need ideas. What would the board like to see be built? nothing is off limits. fiberglass, plexi, lexan, etc we can get our hands on most anything and are willing to try and anything. So let her rip. any and all ideas are welcome.

the only requirement i have made is that i need to try and maintain a fair amout of trunk space to carry stuff. so there you go. let's hear what you have got. we are going to try and start on this either this weekend or monday. keep in mind we are willing to try anything but I'm not a fool we definately aren't on the same level as Ron. . . but I'm trying hard to catch up

 

An IB install using an ED 12O. Attach to bottom of rear deck or a manifold w/inverted mount. Seal the entire trunk for isolation. Replace torsion bars with power actuators (triggered from OEM FOB) or gas struts mounted in the rain gutters on each side of trunk. Amp stealth installed under false floor AND access to spare tire. Maybe cover with chicken wire and fabric so you can still lay things on top without damage and have air flow. Only thing to see is the sub basket. Need a good amp/control so be a fool and run it with a Helix HXA 1000QX.

 

heh that wouldn't be too bad at all. I've seen an install with 3 10o's IB like that. the problme i have lies with this: I don't have either a 12o or a helix amp. and I sure know that i can't afford a helix amp right now. The only reason i am getting a new 12k and amp is b/c of an incredible deal ed has right now. Which brings me to the other problem. This is only going to be in the car for 2 months if that. so i would rather refrain from cutting the rear deck.

Not a bad suggestion though, and fairly easy as far as i can tell. let's see waht else is come up with
