Has anyone here used a laptop screen in their car....I was thinking of getting a laptop screen and somehow sinking it into the sunroof slider so it can flip down from that. I would have the dvd player show on that screen along with the navi screen (just through a splitter in between).

Forget the install....my main question is has anyone ever connected to one. I'm not 100% sure what the connections look like going into the screen, but i assume its prety straight forward? Anyone?

 

I dont know how that would work, but i think that would be interesting to see.

 

some laptops come with a port that u can plug a monitor into .... im sure u can get a flat panel monitor and some how wire it up to work....question thou......where would u put the damm laptop ?

I can get just a laptop screen by itself and will use it as kinda big LCD screen.

 

I think the biggest problem you will have with the laptop screen is the powering the LCD backlight. You can probably pick up a replacement LCD screen from ebay for about $100 but powering up the background light will require parts from the laptop.
