keeping steering wheel controls??

Hey guys/gals,

I'm a addicted member of the Acura-tl.com forum but his is the first time I am posting here. we are going through the "condstruction" process as well , and our audio section is not really there any more, sure it will be fixed soon.

Anyway to my Q's, I have heard that for about 50 bucks canadian there is an adapter that will connect to the steering wheel harness and allow the controls on the steering wheel to control an aftermarket Headunit.

I don't know if this "adapter" will connect to any after market headunit or will it only connect to some with an "aux volume control" or something like that.

I appreciate any answers that might help point me in the right direction.

Thanks in advance,

there is any adapter at Crutchfield.....but it uses the remote from your HU...if you dont have a remote for your hu..it wont work....all it does is programs the same commands from you remote....and sends them with the sterring wheel controls.....its about $69.99 i think from crutchfield...hope this helps
