Hi, i'm new here. Just wondering is $200 for the JL 12W6V2 sub a good deal? Just the sub alone, no amp.

They run $300-500 new, so sure if you are set on buying that model. But if you are asking if buying this sub is worth $200... I submit that better subs cost about the same or less.

Yes 200 is quite worth it.

 

For 200 it is for that sub...but im with fourthmeal. You can find something better for the price.

 

When it comes to JL the box has a lot to do with it. The W6 I a really good sub. But don't skimp on the box. That sub has a lot of potential as long as it is done right. Hope is all goes well.

 

Guys, thanks for all the responses. So i went ahead and got the sub&amp for my 02 TL. I read the sticky on how to install the sub and amp. I went ahead and removed the rear seat (top and bottom section), but I couldn't find the stock amp. What does it look like guys? and where is it located after I take the seat out.

 

I left the stock amp in place, I'd recommend the same. Just remove the stock sub, disconnect, and you're good to go.
