JL 12w6v2 or 12w7?

I'm planning to get two of 12w6v2 in my trunk(1st gen cl)

but.. i saw some other forums.. and.. they said 10w7 is enough..

is that right??

I have a 600w 4ch crossfire amp now.. it hooked up to speakers

and.. i have another 500w 2ch crossfire amp... and.. it hooked up

to subs..

and.. I dont' think i can run two of 12w6v2 w/ the amp that i have

so.. just one of 10w7 is okay?? i wanna have some deep bass..

or 12w7??

please help me out~@ thanks!

the 2 12w6v2's will hit harder than the 10w7 or the 12w7 but you will be seriously under powering them with that amp... same would go if you got the 12w7... you could push it ok with the 500w but i would recommend somewhere around 800w-1000w... the 10w7 will hit plenty hard for most people... and the 500w would push it perfect... and the 10w7 should handle that deep bass pretty well also...

No, you'd be under-powering them again.

If you must have two, you should be willing to spend the money to get 500watts to each of them. Otherwise why bother getting W7s if you're not going to utilize them anyway.

ok here i will list them... starting with the speaker that will hit the hardest....

1. 2 12w6v2 (you should push atleast 400w to each speaker)
2. 1 12w7 (you should push atleast 750w to this speaker)
3. 1 10w7 (you should push at least 500w to this speaker)

since you dont want to change your amp i would suggest going with the 10w7... if you got the 12w7 it would hit hard but you would not be running that speaker even close to its true potential..... i say get the 12w7 and get a new amp... jl 1000/1 would be perfect...

that amp is 500x1 @ 4ohms and 1000x1 @ 2 ohms right... well i figure you will get somewhere around 750w with that amp... that should be just fine...
