JL 1000/1 and 10W7

What do you guys think of a 1000/1, 300/4 and a 10W7 for 1050? The amps are used and the sub is brand new. Another question is how hard will the 10W7 hit compared to a 12W7? Will the 1000/1 amp be too much for the 10? And will the 10 sound better than say 2 JL W6's and what about the 12? Thanks. Need help ASAP.

I think the 1000/1 might be a little too much power for the 10W7 (although it can prob handle it, it might get distorted) I would get a 12W7 or 2 W6v2's if you plan on keeping the 1000/1

i say that 1 10w7 could handle that 1000/1 but i think that you could easily back up to the 500/1 and still get great output from that sub... also 2 12w6v2 will definately hit harder than 1 10w7.....

Always go with more power. You can always turn the gains down.

I think you may want to audition your options before spending the $'s. I'm using the 500/1 with one 10W7, with the gains turned all the way down, and have more than sufficient bass. Depends, though, on whether or not this is for your own entertainment, or somebody in the next county Also, I believe it is widely known that more power is better, and this definitely applies to the tweeters ... sometimes this is overlooked and I'd hate to see you learn the hard-way.

Those are damn good prices considering you prob paid around $400-450 for the sub so that leaves $700 for the 2 amps. The 1000/1 alone goes for more than that
