JDM FOGs HID conversion

So as some of you know I recently purchased the JDM bumper, and as the title states, I am doing an HID conversion for the fog lights. Today I went out and purchased a 35W H1 hid kit, took it home and took out my fogs. As I was test fitting the bulbs into the fog light, it appeared that the bulb was either too long or I was rubbing against something. Further inspection I noticed that on the fog light itself, it says that the bulb type should be H1 but 55W...so, now my question is, if I run a weaker output then the bulb being longer or not doesn't matter correct? Because 35W and 55W just means how much electricity is going into the bulbs correct and not how long the actual bulb is? Sorry but this is my first time ever doing an HID conversion.

Yep, as long as you get it to fit, you shouldn't have an issue. My HID PNP kit for my 4runner was too long too for some reason

I see...now I have another question, I was going to wire it up as follows: HID kit to a 3 pin switch (acc), for power and then to ground; switch to fuse box (for power) and then grounnd. Now I'm guessing I'll need like a 20AMP fuse?

the output rating has nothing to do with the length of the bulb. as far as wiring i would look in the box and see that the system requires for a fuse. to small and you will be blowing all the time. too big and it wont off the protection you need
