Hi I have found some great advice on here in the past so I am now a new member with a question hoping that someone can help me. I have had the ISimple in my 04 TL for about a year and it works (worked) great. My sister pluged her iphone4s into it the other day and now my original ipod only works in aux1 mode which doesnt allow me to control the ipod from the radio controls like the ipod mode does. When in ipod mode it tells me that there is no ipod connected. I have tried the latest firmware upgrade and i have reset the device by connecting the two pins on the circut board with a matalic object (screw driver) and I am still having the same problem. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks! ........

 

I forgot to mention that when her Iphone got pluged in it worked until it was unpluged and now both have the same problem they only play under aux1 mode, in ipod mode it says no ipod connected. Thanks Again!

 

4x4fishin, did you ever find a fix to your problem? I have an iPhone 5 that only lets me play in AUX1 mode, I'm thinking my issue may be similar to yours.

 

When talking to the guy at the stero store he blamed it on the new iphone software. I thoguht that couldnt be the case so I called isimple support they told me i must have crimped the wire or something which i new i didnt. They advised me to get a new cable. Eventually I figured I would try the cable. Sure enough that took care of it. The new cable is thicker and comes with an additional box on it which i think takes care of the new apple software that "isnt a problem". If you still have the skinny wire that goes from the iphone to the isimple give it a try its only 20 bucks on the isimple site. Make sure you pick the one thats right for your car. Other wise they were comming out with a new isimple that should be a little better and handle the stuff thats "not a problem". Last i heard of it, it was due out a few weeks ago check out there site. Let me know if you end up figuring out the problem.
