iPod Touch & Alpine Fullspeed decks (question)
iPod Touch & Alpine Fullspeed decks (question)
Hi folks,
I have an Alpine 9887 with the iPod integration, and a 30GB iPod video with a Proclip mount. I'm just curious if anyone's tried the Alpine decks with the new(ish) iPod Touch, and if the deck controls and display still work without any glitches. Are any of you using a Touch with an Alpine deck?
Thanks!

I've had shops call me and mention that the Alpine does not work with any of the new iPods or the iPhone. Alpine is supposed to release a firmware update to fix this, but I don't know if it's out or when it will be out.

It's Bo from Bay Car Stereo hows it going? Tell Zolie I'll see him at CES.
Anyways that's not really correct. The KCE422i will work with the Ipod touch along with all the control that u had with 5.5 and prior generation Ipods. It did have problems with firmware version 1.1.1 but with 1.1.2 it is fine.
Only quirk is that when u press the back button, instead of going to the beginning of the song it goes to the previous song..... not really a big deal just a little weird.
