IPOD and Sirius in a 2003 TL
Alright i have literally searched for hours and have not found my answer with the down links and all. I have a 2003 TL with the 6 disc indash and no navi. i would like to hook up sirius formost followed by my ipod to the factory radio. I know about the blitzsafe and the icelink but im not sure how they work and if i can hook up both sat. and the ipod. Does the back of the factory radio have a bus in or something? i know i had a pioneer HU in my CL and i got a cord that converted it to rca's and i just plugged the ipod in. I would like something like this despite not being able to control the ipod thru the radio because i dont care that much and it was only like 20 bucks for cable for the pioneer. Any ideas and sorry for the redundant post

RE: # IPOD and Sirius in a 2003 TL
As far as Sirius and iPOD in the CL....not a lot of options for clean custom in-dash arrangements if you want to keep your factory HU. I have an 02 TL-S w/navi, and ended up just using the suction cup mount for my Sirius Streamer Replay. Its a black receiver, and I put it in the lower corner on the drivers side of the windsheild. It actually doesnt look bad at all. I am currently using FM modulation, but I will more than likely get the Blitzsafe adapter.
I was trying to find the adapter I saw that had an iPOD interface and an Aux-IN, but now I cant. I am not certain that Blitz or Ice make one....but I havent looked real hard. You should be able to make it happen though, even if you need to do a little creative switching of the Aux-IN that the Blitz could provide.
To answer your question, your factory HU should have the 14 pin connector on the back that the icelink or blitz would plug into. That copnnector would be used if you had an external CD changer. You access that port by pressing "CD" twice on the HU. It only works when something is connected though.
Good luck,
James

The blitzsafe adapter takes advantage of the "aux input" on the 03 TL. And I believe they now have a dual input blitzsafe adpt. Which, if this is the case, you could hook both up with no issues..
You'd hit the cd button twice to get into aux mode..
