Getting set to purchase a 2011 MDX (base/non-navi) this year and looking for a way to integrate iPhone for music playing through a USB connector and have steering wheel control for music playback (and if possible, album/song name info on head unit). Want to keep the bluetooth connectivity for phone calls and I'd like to keep the current stock look and just have a connector come from the center console (I've seen this done with kits for other model years, but for some reason I've been unable to find a kit for '11 MDXs). I've read that for prior model years if you don't have navi then the connection must be done behind the radio, which I am not fond of. Wondered if there was a solution out there for '11 MDXs? Haven't found anything on forums or elsewhere.

 

Hi. I have a 2010 MDX base, and have the same question as you do about iPod integration. My wife has a 2013 rdx with oem integration and it's really cool. So I took my mdx to my fav local mobile electronics shop to try to do the same thing. They looked it up in their database and said there is no way to integrate iPod with my mdx. Acura has not "shared the technology" for that, so nobody makes any parts to do it. The closest I can get I think, is to use the auxiliary cable and power cord plugged in to the mdx, and then use Siri on the iPhone to get the hands free aspect. Pls let me know if u find a better way. Thanks
