installing noise filter (yes a stupid noobie ?)

Alright people, i got my basslink and installed it yesterday. turned out great except for a little engine noise. i did a search and decided to buy a noise filter.

my question is where do i install it? i soldered rca cables to the respective wires that hook up to bose amp in the trunk, but what do i hook the noise filter to? should it go to the remote turn-on (yellow/white wire) or what i am confused.

any suggestions?

actually i didn't end up using the filter. I was going to try it then a friend suggested a hi/low converter. We tried it but there was no signal to the basslink. we ended up just hooking it back up the way i originally had it and there was no engine noise this time. can't explain why it stopped, it's one of those don't know don't care jsut glad it works situations.

It happened. Maybe your signal wire(s) was too close to an electrical last time.

I remember I gave you some instructions for it. As mentioned in the replyby SilverKnight, maybe it was too close to an electrical source. perhaps there was a loose connection picking up magnetic noise. I know I installed mine without any filters and it is fine. Anyway I am glad it worked out for you.
