Installing CD Changer?

Is it possible to buy a Honda/Acura CD changer off of ebay and plugging it into the back of a '99 TL HU?

Do you need any special adapters? How much work is required?

As far as experience, I've done a HU/Amp/Sub install job in my friend's Camry.

Never installed a changer, where would it get power from and could I put it under the passenger seat?

Also, should I look for anything special in regards to the changer playing any and all CD-Rs? This is the main reason I'm doing this install. How are the TL HU's CD Changer controls and what button do you press for the changer?

Lots of questions! Thanks in advance,

bump- I'm indeed curious as well. There's lots of conflicting information here about installing changers and MP3 players. I wish there was just a picture of the back of the head unit and someone would let me know what sort of signaling is in there so I can run with it. Thoughts? Anyone know what a 99 TL's input would be like and what it's compatible with?

It should just plug into your factory deck. The only way you should need a adapter is if you use a Alpine changer.

there are a couple of things to keep an eye on here. first if the changer comes with the cables it needs to link in with the factory headunit. if it does then you are set as far asgetting it to work. as far as where to put it. under the seat isn't a very viable option given the motors for the power seats. in all honesty the sock mounting location is probably the best. meaning in the trunk along the trunk lid.
