so my dad is in Bahrain right now on business working 12 hour days, 7days a week. So i thought i would do something nice and install a new alpine deck in his Toyota Camry while he is gone. its a 2000 or 2001, but its the jbl system, and from what i understand the factory deck has a factory amplifier going to the speakers. Car Toys told me it would cost 85 bucks to install a 120 dollar deck. Which i would never pay. Best Buy told me that if i can find the wiring harness that has the 4 rca preouts for the speaker wire, then they would install it for free. But i was told that with this kind of wiring harness, you blow into the factory amp and could fuck shit up. I installed a new deck into my 2000 tl with minimal problems, so i could install this deck myself, but im worried i dont know exactly how to bypass the factory amp. Could someone please explain to me if i should have best buy do it with the special harness, or if i could figure this out myself.
