Installed Blitzsafe

Well it was cold as hell this weekend, but I was able to install my blitzsafe adapter. I couldn't put it in by just removing the passenger side knee panel (my hands are way tooo big). I had to remove a whole bunch of stuff to get the headunit to slide out. I used the PDF made by skyeflye (thanks):

There were a couple of differences though, it might be because I have a 6MT and no navi. I didn't have to remove the seat heater assembly. Actually I didnt even see the assmbly. otherwise everything else worked out. This is the MP3 I bought and mounted, the thing is great, you can use sandisk usb flash memory and the quality is good also.

Exactly what's a blitzsafe? I'm trying to use the search tab but nothing really came up explaining it.

It is an adapter that plugs into the back of the stock head unit. The adapter creates stereo audio inputs. So with a Y-wire you can hook an mp3 player or whatever to the headunit.

I had the cassette adapter for a while, but the sound quality was horrible and you would get alternator feedback. With the blitzsafe, the sound quality is soooo good.

Can the Blitzsafe be used if you have a Navi? Or does the Navi use that port on the back of the HU?

Yes you can, I just installed my blitzsafe to my satellite sirius radio and I have the stock navi; it does not affect the navi. Everything sounds so sweet now!!

Blitzsafe uses the auxillary CD-2 input in the back of the stock headunit, and works with your NAVI.

I didn't find it to be that difficult of an install.

Of course I have long, skinny fingers though.

Yeah I thought I could take the easy way out, but it wasn't happening.

Here is the email they sent me (go to Logjamelectronics)back along with the part that I ordered and works with my sirius radio

Blitzsafe HON/AUX DMX V.1 HONAUXDMXV1 1 69.95
1998-2004 Acura/Honda
Auxiliary Input Converter
Subtotal 69.95
if you find an unused 14 pin data connector on the rear of the radio, this adapter MAY work: http://www.logjamelectronics.com/blitzhonauxdmxv1.html

IT WORKED FOR ME!!
