Install horror stories

Has anyone had their ride completely f@$ked up by a stereo install place? (excluding best buy/circuit city, we know they are butchers).

I am hesitant about replacing everything for fear of ending up with a dinged up dash, rattles galore, and door panels that don't fit anymore. I'd do it myself, but I've done that before and it usually ends up taking 10 times as long, and I end up with bloody fingers and blood pressure so high I'm one beat away from a heart attack.

I'm assuming since our cars are so similar to accords most install places should be fairly familiar with the setup. Anyone have any comments?

my best suggestion for you is to find a reputable shop in your area to take care of the install for you.......ask friends that you trust for their recomendations.......there are way too many "hack" shops around that care only about your $$$ and not how satisfied you are after everything is installed.......and remember......more often than not.....you get what you pay for

Sound Advice...good place to take your car. If you get the 3 year warrenty, if you blow your subs or speakers they'll replace for free but double check the fine print about that one.

Any good install shops in the San Francisco Bay Area, specifically in the East Bay? I live in Union City.
