I have one, Easy to install, Sounds good. Loud enough for my tastes. If you have the stock system, it's a good choice to add some low end to the stock system. If however your looking to swap stuff out, add different speakers, & amp to power them etc, or you like to be heard coming down the block, the BassLink is not for you. It rattles me, & my CL-S fine, but it's not loud outside of the car.

THANKS!!
Awesome!!! That's exactly what I'm looking for... add a little punch to the stock system. I don't want to blow out my ears or set off car alarms as I drive by... I also don't want to drop 2G's on a system. Just looking for a little extra Bass.
Sounds like this maybe the way to go!!
THANKS FOR THE HELP!!

Hey!
I have the BassLink. Perfect addition to the stock system. I didn't want to shake the neighborhood..but wanted better bass.
...and I'm not sure you can find a separate Amp/Woofer combination that will get you down to 20Hz for less than ~$300.
Nice deep rich bass. The BassLink has convenient dials for adjusting gain, crossover and bass boost.
DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE I CAN FIND THE VOLUME REMOTE that can be plugged in the back of it? If I can find one...I'd run it to the inside of the center console or something.
I spliced in the rear speaker signals.... very easy to avoid taking your car apart.
I'm listening to all my music over again. The overall sound quality blends well!

I have installed a couple of these... in my neighbors taurus... a couple SUV's... and a Civic. They do sound very nice. In a CL, you would want to wire the High level inputs on the Basslink to the output of the deck, before the amp. This way you get the cleanest signal possible, and there is no chance that the rear speakers will act as a microphone and send loud sounds to the subwoofer.
As for the remote, contact Crutchfield... 1-800-955-3000 or call Infinity directly (dont have the number on hand) they can help you.

I am thinking about installing the Infinity Sub, and am curious as to where others have run power from. My problem is that i don't have the stereo security code and am curious to know if I can hook the system up to the rear speakers, and run power from the battery w/o removing the stock battery cables>>

Well, any Acura dealer can punch in your vin # & get the radio code. You have to just call one. You need to disconnect the - terminal of the battery. If you don't you will create serious electricle shorts, you may hurt yourself, & may explode the battery, which in turn will blow the car up, & anything around you. Just get the code, It's easy. Would you mess with a home eletric outlet with out turning the power off first? Same thing in cars.

Has the wiring diagrams you will need to tap the input and remote.
When it comes to the battery and code, take JasonT's advice. There is power to the stock amp. But, I would not use that to power anything aftermarket.

I know, i was just hoping. I called my local dealership and they said that they have to have the serial # from the radio, they can't use the VIN to find the radio code. Is this the truth, or should i maybe post a request for an answer from Jens or Wayne????

Thanks for the pics and the info.
One question for you. As you have your Basslink mounted, are the mounting feet drilled to the trunk frame or just braced to the fiberboard?

They are just braced to the fiberboard. It holds well. I didn't use the suplied screws. I drilled a small hole at each foot mounting location, then used a nut & bolt to secure the feet to the floorboard. It's not going anywhere!

Thanks for the reply.
Right now I am looking at either the Basslink or a Bazooka EL 10 series amped tube.
Either way, I need the enclosure removable for long business trips if needed.
Lack of a quick disconnect/harness seems to favor the Bazooka atm for me.
I was also considering just using the fiberboard as well as it appears pretty stable.
Thanks for the help and the pics.

Yeah,
That and the fact my entire system would be Infinity is a plus.
Just got done mounting Reference Components in the front and 6x9 in the rear.
But I got a steal on a Bazooka EL460 amp ($170 new) , and it has the easy connect harness to go directly to a bazooka amp for pwr, input and remote.
I will be mounting the amp at a slight angle underneath the rear deck, via rails to the frame. Plenty of room and it will be well out of the way for large storage events.
Im really only looking at this point to enhance the bass in the car, not really rattle the block.
I really think I am going to have to mount the amp first then check for clearances and such. Not to mention keep viewing threads to get all of your opinions
I do want to thank you all for the great ideas. I have been reading the forum here for well over a few weeks and the insights expressed here are great and super helpful.
Thanks all !
