Infinity Basslink

I just had a Kenwood DDX712 HU installed in my car. I'm thinking of upgrading to a better sub and disconnecting the stock one. I'm thinking of the Infinity Basslink.

Would installation be as simple as connecting an RCA cable from my HU to the Basslink, then hooking up the basslink to the battery and remote turn on on the HU, and grounding it?

I know I'm oversimplifying it, but would that be it?

And is there any DIY on here? I know a lot of people on acurazine have the Basslink, but I couldn't find one.

Word on the street is that your dash kit is the shizzle. Word?

Kidding.... maybe.

You are correct. You can run an RCA cable from your 512 subwoofer output to the BassLink. Then power, ground and remote turn-on. Done. Oh... mount that sucker down, then done.

How much is the BassLink anyhow?

Around $200. It seems to be the best option in that price range.

I just have one question about the remote turn-on. I'm a bit confused which wire it is. On my kenwood's wiring harness would it be the blue wire labeled "power control wire" or the one labeled "external amplifier control wire". I'm guessing it's the second oe.

P.S. It is the shizzle. I'll post pics in your thread sometime next week. It looks great!

Yes. It's that simple. I have one too and installation was cinch! The bass is just what I need for everyday grind. Let me know if you need anything else.

Right on. Amp control wire. It should be BLUE/WHITE from your Kenwood harness.
