I currently have 2 amps... a MRP-F450 (4 channel) and a MRD-M605 (mono). I came across a nice deal on another M605. I was gonna have 2 Type R 12's and 2 M605's, but I don't wanna add it if its gonna kill my electrical system. What do you guys think? and what would be the difference of having 2 600 watt amps or 1 1200 watt amp... any help would be appreciated.

 

I prefer two smaller amps that accept 4awg wire opposed to 1 big amp that takes the same single 4awg wire. But with a three amp system I would run a large battery compasitor at least 15 farads. And as for mutiple batteries with a isolater, its only good for bumping when the altenator isnt running.IMO

I'm currently running a 1/0awg to a 20 farad cap then (2) 4awg and (2) 1000 X 1 watt amps and (1) 8awg (1) 85 x 4. MY headlights don't dim so I know that my amps aren't starving for power. A amps output is only as strong as the power it receives.
