i need a car/ car audio guys help
okay so i kno i'll get the "wrong posting area" crap but it has to do with audio and mechanical so i figured id start here.
i drive a 99 cl 3.0 and yesterday i took out my headunit and installed a double din. drove a 30 min ride home, picked my girlfriend up, never shut the car off and drove right to dinner. shut the car off and it wouldnt lock, tried to start it and its completetly dead.
okay i take that back, the a.c comes on, headunit, windows, headlights, all that good stuff, but it wont start,
no clicking or anything.
okay so after my machanic guy basically ghetto started my car from something in the engine it ran fine, no problem but my dash lights and all running lights were gone, i had to drive home with a flashlight to see how fast i was going!!
does anyone have ANY ideas of what the heck is happening??
i mean any thought at all will help,
my machanic guy said the ignition switch is why it wont start, but i dont think that would cause the lights not to work, is it possible i wired the head unit wrong and thats causing it??
thanks for any thought you might have, Zack

u may have accidentally blown a fuse during the radio install... not really necessary but that is why they usually recommend that you disconnect the negative battery terminal anytime you do anything electrical in the car... helps prevents any shorts that may occur during the install...
