Hi,

I have a 1998 2.3CL

I recently replaced the battery and now the radio needs the security code. I don't have the card and it's not anywhere to be found in the car as suggested in some other posts (ashtray, glovebox, trunk, fuse box, etc.)

The dealer claims they can't look it up by VIN which is pretty dumb if you ask me, these days when everything is in a database...

It looks like the only choice I have is to remove the radio/cd player and look for the serial number and then go to the dealer.

Can someone please describe the removal process before I start taking apart more than necessary?
