How do I hook up my amp...
Well I want to replace the stock sub with my 12"sub and a box that I have. I also have an amp and all the required cables. The question I have is how do I hook up the amp to my stock BOSE Head Unit? I did a search on the forum and found one where "Austin 519" gave a detailed explaination on how to tap the stock wires. "find the wires feeding into the factory amp, a brown coated twisted pair of wires...." I took my rear seat off and located the factory BOSE amp but I don't see the brown coated twisted pair of wires. Does the wiring differ from the model year TL's? I have 2002 TL-S.
Also which wire can I use for the remote on wire to my amp?
Is there anyone with a 2002 TL and you replaced the stock sub with the means of an amp and sub(s) help me out.
Any help would be much appreciated. EvoRTL-S =)

I did this recently..
I used a line out converter and took the signal going to the subs..the two sets of wires, and used that and converted it to RCA's for the amp.. U will use the blue wire and from the stock bose amp and use that as a remote signal.. don't cut the wire..but just tap into it..either by using some taps..or u can just wrap a small wire around it like i did.
Basically..after that..u're done... *note..getting the power cable through the grommet initially is a biatch..so... use a knife..and some soapy water..or lubricant..
that's basically it...trouble shooting problems i've had are like.. grounding..and the remote wire..make sure u do it right the first time..it'll save urself alotta trouble.

I don't know what color the twisted pair is...but I was under the impression it was brown. Austin519's post was correct though. Jyang411 is right about the remote wire...it's the blue wire. Make sure to disconnect your stock sub too...or it'll discolor the sound.
