HID relay harness question

Hey guys I know that our cars have stock HIDs in them, but if I ever replace the OEM ballasts with an aftermarket kit, do I need to buy a relay harness for it, or is there one built into the car's stock harness already?

I ask this question because my passenger side ballast went out and I had an extra ballast from an HID kit laying around so i wired it in to the stock wiring. IT seems to take about 1 second longer to turn on than the driver's side, which is OEM.

Any help would be appreciated!

If your car already has ballasts, I doubt you will need it. The relay harnesses are designed to support ballasts on cars that aren't wired to power them

That's what I was thinking too..

Eh well, time to just buy a new kit and replace everything at once!
