hey guys i need some advise

on a good 10" for a small sealed enclosure about 3/4 foot volume. the one i have i think is bad, it's a mtx blue thunder and during a hard bassline it makes my USAcoustic amp go into protect.
The amp is RATED at 260RMS bridged into a 4ohm load.
any ideas? willing to spend about a bill.but if a little more will get me much better sound then ill up the cash.
thax in advance.

check out my box.

ok I did some surfing on crutchfield and realized in a bit off on the price, I should be lookin at about 2 bills.
my new Q is should i go with a dual VC sub and run 120wrms X2 or just a good single VC and run 260w rms.and then if dual VC my amp will handle a 2ohm load so should i get dual 2 or 4 ohm?

to be honest i dont think there is anything wrong with your sub... it sounds to me like the problem is your amp cant handle the strain... remember the smaller the box the more stain it is going to put on your amp...
