I love watching the World Rally Championship stuff on Speedvision. All those cars have a sequential sport shift similar (okay not really) to our cars.

But they have GIANT gear number LED readout that is in their line of sight so they can tell what gear they are in without having to look all the way down into the instrument cluster.

There must be a way to tap into the LED that is already there and splice a second one or something into it and place it on the dash.

Anybody have any idea of how this could be done?

If you drive like I do through the twisties, you will understand why I want this so bad. A split second of eyes off the road can be a really bad thing.
