HELP! Will this HU fit/work???
Can someone tell me if this HU (link below to ebay listing) is plug n' play with my '03 CL-S 6-speed? It's a Sony WX-7700MDX from Japan. i'm not sure, but i don't think they sell them here. i'm looking for a double din HU that'll look good with the rest of the interior (black, with metallic trim), but i want to spend less than $1000, including installation. Any other ideas?

It's certainly unique. Japan is much bigger on MD than the rest of the world is, so I"m sure it's not exported here.
You would still need the kit, and as such I would still get a custom kit made by Ron at Street Effectz. I think that 2-DIN Kenwood he does looks pretty cool in there.
Since the '03 CL-S has an amp mounted in the trunk, I'm not sure what your definition of plug and play is. The preamp outputs MIGHT work fine into the amp. If you want to have the speaker outputs of the HU go directly to the speakers, the R amp would require rewiring/bypassing.
After you spend all that money on a pookie light HU, you gonna have any budget for better sound? : )
