I NEED HELP ON PUTTING SCREEN WHERE it looks like a cd holder. how do i do that and what kinda brand, size of screen. anybody know. any instruction how to do it? HELP!! HELP!!

 

TSteknicks this has been done by a couple people... i know silverknight did it with the panasonic unit... i have also seen some people use the pioneer avx-p7000 or the 7300.... but to be honest if you are not very experienced in installation i would recommend that you take you car to the local shop to have this done.... it involves modification of the dash and the unit itself has to be taken apart somewhat....

 

Hey TSeknicks. I was looking into it too. I had the perfect opportunity cause I worked at CCity and i could've taken advantage of the discount. The pioneer is the best idea so far. especially since my car is leased (no Type-S in stock :-(). Let me know which one u go with.. and how much it cost for custom install. i dont know if you want to do this with a leased car because there is some cutting of the dash in order to get this unit to fit... along with cutting of the metal brackets that hold the radio along with quit a few other modifications.....

 

shawhite is right. Putting a screen in Post-It note holder requires some cuttings. If you are doing this to a leased car, you are taking a risk. However, no one will notice the cuttings unless they remove the stock HU to look behind the dash.

 

Right.. I looked into it further, and the cutting is hidden, underneath all the plastic. I know Silver did it.. which looked tight.. but i want it so that it's pretty much hidden. Hopefully take off the face so that it is flush against the black plastic...
