HELP! radio cuts off

So sometimes when I just start up my car and put my deck in, the music suddenly stops, then after about 20 sec, the subs kick in for a sec and then the music comes back on. Its starting to happen more and more often. I checked all my connections...everything seems fine, anyone got some suggestions?

What radio are you running? What amp(s)....sounds like you have a problem with your remote wire, amp power wire, or amp ground. but I need some more info.

1) whats your bass set at on the head unit (not the phase..the bass to the interior speakers) 2) check all of your wires inside, a wire can be shorting everything out, make sure everyhtring is either taped or capped 3)broken

You need to figure out when this happens. Are you going over a bump? Are you placing your feet differently under the dash....you need to figure out if you're remote wire, power, or ground is your problem. It sounds like something is shorting or grounding out, then correcting itself, you hear the sub first because the sub amp turns on more quickly than the 4 channel. Then the 4 channel switches on and you have your music back. Test you continuity of your remote wire, check your ground, Check your battery terminal and make sure you're not losing your + connection on your power wire. Sounds almost for sure that you're amps are losing power. And because it it both amps at the same time, I'd probably say that the first thing i'd check is my remote wire. Pull your trim and carpet and follow the remote wire. See if its frayed....etc.
