TL: help! radio code error

help! radio code error

my daughter tried wrong code 3 times after putting in a new battery and now all i get from radio is CODEEE and it wont let me enter code now... how can i reset radio to accept code? (disconnecting battery didnt do it)

How long was it disconnected? Try disconnecting if for two minutes.

you can try pulling the fuse too

Regarding re-entering the radio code - you get something like 10 attempts before you are locked out for one hour (check youe owner's manual). I found that pulling the accessory fuse (It's a 40amp fuse in the fuse box under the hood on the passenger side, at least on my 02 TL) and leaving the fuse out for just a few minutes resets the counter.

more re radio code

Did you see the other post here about possibly having to be in an area with no radio reception in oder to successfully enter the code?
