Help in planning aftermarket sound system for TSX

I am planning to replace the TSX sound system, and I have a couple questions. Yes, I have read through many many of the audio threads for awhile, but I don't think I've heard much about replacing the tweeters. My question is, is it difficult and time consuming to replace the tweeters? Do you have to take the whole dash apart?
I'd also like some opinions about tweeter location. The factory location has them pointed up at the windshield, which isn't ideal, so do you think it would sound almost as good to replace the midranges in the doors with coaxials and forget about the separates?

My current plan is to use the following components:
factory HU into Audiocontrol EQS
75 x 2 PPI amp for the fronts
1000 x 1 PPI amp for sub
Focal Polyglass 6.5 components for the fronts
Image Dynamics IDMAX12 sub

Now I just want to make sure the install won't be too expensive. I'd like to custom mount tweeters, but not sure i want to pay for it. I'd really appreciate any help and advice you guys may have, I know there's some knowledgable people on here. Thanks.

The tweeters pop striaght up and are attached to the underside of the OE grilles with snaps.

They are easy to remove.

I run silk soft domes that play very low in that location, because I wasn't allowed to make kick panels (wife's car) and because I got a sweet deal on these Scan-Speak made Alpines with the 850Hz-Fs tweeter.

But if I wanted to do these again I would go with the Morel Integra Ovation coaxials with a 2" VC on the mids and a stern soft dome tweet in the center of the vc.

I think that with an xover point of 4500 Hz I would not put the Focals in the OE spot, and with a very dry sound I would not put them under the glass - they would get harshed by the glass reflection. I am not a Focal fan below Utopia, though...

The other option I would consider is to go with the a/d/s/ 2-series with the tweeter mount.

I love tweeters under the windshield. I'm jealous that I can't do it with my TL. Had that in my Camry and I loved it. I agree with Eldude about going with good silk tweeters.

Oh, I mis-spoke... I didn't mean to say I was dis-satified, I just meant if I couldn't find any more of the SPX-F13M's available, them being discontinued and being blown out by most stores.

yea I have focal 165 k seperates up front and do think they sound kind of harsh. I have diamond hexes s600s in my Integra and man they are real loud and clear. Im thinking of replacing my focals with some Dyns in kicks. Maybe then I will be satisfied.

a/d/s/ is a speaker brand. The 2 series and the 3 series are their two lines of speakers. They both use the same tweeter but the 2 series is less expensive and uses a different woofer and xover. They have traditionally had tweeters that played very low.
