help picking out radio

i had a jensen vm9312 and just sold it... looking to get a single din radio and use it with stock speakers and sub...

i was looking at the JVC KD-AVX2. how is it? good? bad? ok?

any other single din radios like this? (with a small screen for vids?)
looking to spend $250 max (and looking to buy it used to save on cost...)

*when i put my stock radio back it, it sounded soooooo goood compaired to that crappy jensen (i should have listened to yall 1st and never bought the jensen *

what are some good HU that will sound good with the stock speakers and sub? (a little screen for vids would be nice, but not a MUST have)...

thanks

This JVC seems pretty nice. I've never bought A/V equipment used, but you may be able to find it in your price range. Personally, I'd save up, and buy a new one.

There's also a lower end version with a monitor, but not touch screen....

Besides these JVC's, the only other company I've seen making single DIN units with built in monitors is Pyle....and you don't want to go there.

If you still want to go used, just copy the model number, and Google it. I'm sure you'll find something. Good luck.

Oh yeah...I forgot to add, I found a AVX2 on eBay for $325. That's only $75 more than you wanted to budget....

It's discontinued at Crutchfield, but they've got a few reviews here....

^^^ thanks!

but now im thinking about just going with a pioneer, alpine, or kenwood, or something along the lines of those... because those seem to work good with stock speakers plus can be had for a good price...

probably something that has usb and ipod connection as well (bluetooth is a plus)

Not sure about pioneers, but they should be good.

I know I went from a panasonic (pretty high end color screen version) to a kenwood and the sound was a night and day difference...with the kenwood not only sounding louder but cleaner at all levels. This is a very old but used to be top-of the line kenwood excelon (mp-922) deck that I'm using to power my entire system right now. Not sure about their new stuff, but it should sound as good if not better...and they offer a lot of features for the price.

^^^ cool lmk when you find the model number....

i had two kenwood headunits in my teggy, one was new and one was used... the new one worked fine for about a year then the display would go out if you tap it, but would come right back on... shop said maybe a loose wire or something, but the music never stoped, the display just turned off...
