help: only static coming from XM in-dash receiver
i have a 2005 TSX and the XM sub expired a few years ago. i recently decided to renew the sub, however after the installation signal was sent, all i am hearing is this loud, sharp static. the odd thing is that the channel and track info appears on the dash unit so it seems like the signal is feeding into the receiver, but there is only static. adding to the oddity is that the am/fm and cd functions work fine, so the output to the speakers is otherwise ok.
Acura USA and XM have been ZERO help, my only option at this point is to take it into an Acura dealer and probably spend the equivalent of 2 years XM subscription just for them to look at it, let alone fix it (probably 200-300 bucks). Hoping that someone with a little electronic/audiophile knowledge might be able to diagnose the issue? Thanks in advance!

sorry for late reply, confirm everything is factory installed. all XM could do was send a signal refresh, which didn't improve anything. i am just confused because the channel/program info is appearing on the receiver, but the only audio coming out is static. there def appears to be a signal being received, but it's not being converted into songs/programs.
before i start cracking open the dash or the trunk where the xm antennae receiver is, i was just hoping someone might have an idea of where the disconnect is, based on the current condition of the audio output of the system. thanks all.
