Hi guys. I've been trolling around here for some time now. You guys seem to know what your talking about.
I have a bit of a problem. I'm in the middle of replacing hu with a pioneer avh 3200bt. the problem is the audio is muffled even at max volume, barely any sound. I used the wire harness with the rca already attached. and the remote wire is hooked up from the hu to the harness. any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

check the simple stuff first ie h/u settings, check the connections to the speakers, proper power that kind of stuff.

I'm assuming the muffled sound is coming from the speakers. The remote wire is a power lead that goes from the h/u to an amp to turn it on when it should be. Are you running and aftermarket amp or just the factory amp/sub? If it is the stock amp/sub then it is already hooked up in the harness and you don't need the remote lead (if I remember correctly, its been a few years since I did mine).
