Exclamation HELP need code for OEM Stereo deck

My battery went dead, well once I got it charged back up my stereo asked for my code. I bought the car used and do not have a code for it. The stereo and CD will not operate until I enter this code. It is either a 4 or 5 digit code, can anyone help. I need help with this code and don't know where to turn, I have a 97 3.2 if that is any help. Thanks for all your help in advance.

It's a 4 or 5 digit code and I think you might be able to locate it under the back dash in the trunk area. Anyone know exactly where it is?

I think he typo'ed. I had a 2.2 in my '97. I've seen people saying they found their code in many spots; side of glove box, underside of ashtray, inside gas cap cover, etc. My '97 had it on the fuse box cover under the hood.

I found mine inside the trunk. It was located near the sub(about 2 inch from the sub) , and it was a white lable. Can't believe it's actually located inside the trunk...lol I was going to spend 90 bucks at the dealer.
