Hi, I have a Pioneer AVH-P6500DVD player in my car. Everything works wonderfully, it plays cd's, dvd's, vcd's, etc. The only problem is that I don't get any radio stations at all. I checked the antenna jack and it was plugged in properly at both ends and I even tinkered with it a little, but I still couldn't get any radio stations to come in. Does anyone know what might be wrong, could it be a problem when I soldiered the harness wires together, and if so, what color wire would it be? Any help would be great.

The FM amp may not be being turned on. It needs 12V(+) from the radio, like an RTO. I don't have the wiring diagram on me but do a search for it and you should find the wire OK.

 

Ok, well basically, I have the metra harness that plugs into the car and I bought a pioneer harness that one end fits into the first harness and the other end fits into the cd player. Unfortunately, the cd player end did not fit so I had to cut that end off and fuse it with the harness that actually came with the cd player. Hopefully that wasn't too confusing. I had one wire left over though that had nothing to plug into. I've done this same process for other Pioneer units I've had in my car, and I've never had a problem until now. I'm still unsure of how to fix this. Any help would be wonderful!
