alright guys ive been into audio/video for a while but i guess im a little out of touch now. can you suggest a good mono sub amp for a 600/1200 sub. really looking for a brand and looking to spend around 300 or less. thanks in advance

i think I might get the Phoenix Gold 5.0:1 for a JL 12W6v2... I have a 8.0:4 for my front components and rear 6X9s and it makes them sound really good.. I haven't tweaked it yet, but plan on doing it after I purchase the sub/amp at the end of the month.

That web site is where I ordered my front/rear speakers and amp and they are very reliable.. they didn't have the model I ordered in for a week, so they upgraded me, but kept it at the same price.

If you do have the money though, I know people like the JL 500/1 amp also, but that is pricey.

 

i have heard good things about the MB Quart amps, the QAA2500 or 1000, or the RAA2400 or 1000, but they are owned my maxxsonics or something now, and i've never tried them, but they seem resonably priced.

I've also come across a lot of people running Arc audio amps, the xxk series. Not really sure of the prices tho, the KAR series might be more in your budget.

I personally still like the older amps, you're probably more used to. old school ppi arts, and zed made amps. If they were good when you were into audio, they're probably still pretty good. i just recently got a hold of some TRU tech amps though, but have yet to try them out .
