For '05 Non-Nav, 6MT:

I don't want an iPOD interface.

All I want is an AUX input I can plug into the stock head unit so I can plug in an MP3, DVD, or other via RCA or headphone jack. I also don't want to disconnect the XM radio to use it.

Does anyone know who sells something like this?

 

Soundgate makes an AUX only. Blitzsafe does too but lots of people reported it was very buggy, esp w/ 05 TSX with XM. The usa spec / "neo ion aux" also has an aux and does not require an iPod or anything silly like that, it can be used as a solution for aux only just as easily, and you can tack on the iPod later if you choose.

I think you can find the soundgate for under $100, which will beat the other one on price.

I thought that was just the first batch? The store I bought from held back the shipment until they were satisfied that it was OK. What little I use it, it has worked OK.

One of my motivating factors was that it seemed vastly cheaper than anything else, worked with the stock system, was available at the time , plus it was just AUX (since I don't use an iPod).

The one problem I did run into is that the volume can be low. I don't think it's just a problem with Blitzsafe, though. If I turn up my MP3 player/PSP, it's OK, but it would be nice to have a bit more pre-amplification....
