Help finding a new mp3 player

I was wondering if you guys know of any smallish mp3 players that are not an ipod? It can be a future mp3 players that i could forward to, too.

I currently have the Samsung P2... The software is whatever to use and the firmware is really glitchy.

I just want some ideas to help me decide if i should switch to a new mp3 player or save my money

Just curious what your reason is for not going with an Apple product? IMO they are the most intuitive MP3 devices available on the market today.

i hate using itunes, imo that the interface is fun. I don't trust the quality of apple because of the breakdowns ive heard about. I may be wrong but there is no EQ to play with sound settings. And itouch is too big for what i want.

You have LOTS of investigating to do. I think if you spend some time gaining knowledge of what apple products have to offer in terms of quality and features ...(EQ) all of you above comments will be proven wrong.
