I am running fresh 18ga wire from my amp to my speakers. the rear speakers are no problem. I just can't figure out to wire the front ones....? how do you get it through to the door????

Arrow You can do it!

I ran 16 guage wire for my four spkrs and got it thru the rubber boot on all four doors!

Your speaker is out right?
Try this:

* Pop the rubber boots out of the hole on each side of the door jam so the boot's just hanging there, with the existing wires running through.
* Now start feeding the wire from the empty spkr hole to the hole where the boot goes. Now you can push the wire thru the boot. (I use a water-based silicone lube to assist in getting the wires thru).
* Now feed the wire thru the hole going into the car. You will need a long pair of hemos (or something) to grab the wires because they will be way up there.
* Once you have hold of the wire just pull into the car and back to your amps or where ever.
* Just snap the rubber boots back into place in the door when you're done pulling enough wire.

Hope this helps!

the problem is though, there is a harness at the end where all the wires connect. if i take the boot off, the harness is still in the way. can i remove the harness somehow? i will get a picture today. but anyway, do i have to drill through the harness? i think there is a harness on the car side too, but i haven't see it yet. i'll feel for it....

On a side note, you might want to run slightly heavier speaker wire from your amp to your speakers, especially if your amp is in the trunk. 12 guage would be ideal. Just a thought...
