Help with Clifford Matrix RS3.5 Remote
Help with Clifford Matrix RS3.5 Remote
Not sure if this is the right place for this......mods please move if it isn't.
I recently dropped my 2-way pager remote, and didn't think anything of it at the time.....this was 3 weeks ago. Everything worked fine up until last weekend I started to have trouble unlocking and locking the doors. Last night I couldn't even get into my car until I finally got lucky and the remote disarmed the alarm. (1 out of about 100+ clicks of the unlock button)
I already changed the battery and verified that all the buttons work on the remote itself. (It allows me to go into program options mode on the remote....which requires you to hit all 4 buttons at the same time)
I made a simple antenna, tuned it and attached it to a ground plain at work to see if the remote was transmitting anything. Hooking it up to a spectrum analyzer I was able to see that it does transmit at the proper frequency 434 MHz (from user manual), but the power is extremely low at -45.5dBm.
Does anyone know the power the remote should be transmitting at? I really don't want to spend the $165 my installer wants on another remote as this is already my second one.....first one died right after warranty period, and was never dropped
