Help: Cleaning up Engine Bay?

i bought and installed an amp kit a long time ago, and the power wire that came with it was too short.

i was wondering if anyone can tell me what i can do to make this cleaner and how to add wire so its longer and hides better.. i see people put things over the terminal and have the wire feed out of it and i was wondering what is that called.
thanks

please no flaming, i didnt have money to get it professionally installed.

I would suggest tapping the input side of the fuse box instead of the battery terminal. That might reach without any extension.

Otherwise, just find a place on the firewall to mount the fuseholder, and then put a new longer piece of wire between the fuseholder and the power tap point (battery terminal or fuseholder, whichever).

I'm gonna re-word that after looking at your picture again.

The F/H doesn't have to be on the firewall... but make sure your wire TO the F/H is not more than 18" long. THAT'S why I like the fusebox.
