Help with choosing right size speakers!!!
I'd like to swap all my front and rear speakers in 03 CLS and wanted to make sure if I'm getting the right size before purchasing them. Here's what i'm considering:
For Front speakers: Alpine SPX-137R (Component 5.25" )
JL Audio XR-525 CSI (Component 5.25")
JL Audio VR-650 CSI (Component 6.5")
JL Audio XR-650 CSI (Component 6.5")
For Rear speakers: Alpine SPS-690A (Coaxial 6" x 9" 3-way speaker)
Alpine SPR-69LP (Coaxial 6" x 9" 2-way speaker)
JL Audio VR-690 CXI (Coaxial 6" x 9" 2-way speaker)
JL Audio TR-690 TXI (Coaxial 6" x 9" 3-way speaker)
Now, I was told by Ed, that for Front speakers, Alpine 6.5" component system will not fit due to its frame and such, but does anyone know if JL audio 6.5" component system will fit? If not, should I go with 5.25" component system instead? For Rear speakers, will 6" x 9" fit without any trouble? I'm looking to get professional installtion on these so they would include all the proper spacers and such correct??
Last question, I'm considering two amps to support these speakers,
Alpine MRV-F345
Alpine MRV-F340
Just from their specifications, F345 is more superior but would it be too much for these speakers? Would I notice anything if I go with F340 just to save few bucks?
Any comment is well appreciated. Thanks guys

No, you were told by ElD that X-TYPE Alpines wouldn't fit : )
I'm sure that there are others that do...
The only issue you might run into on R speakers is that if the new ones have a thick ring on top (like I know the MBQ's do) then the underside of the grille MIGHT nave to be trimmed. The avincar speakers we put in GoDucks CL-S did not need any mods to the grille underside, and those were like 1/4" thick. The MBQ's are closer to 5/8" thick.
If you get professional install, you should really figure out if it will good custom work or slam-bam-thanks kind of work. That spacer in the door makes a lot of diff in F SQ. We replaced a set of speaks in an Si yesterday that sounded terrible, and iIMO it was all because the install was a slapdash job.
