Hey i have a 97 3.0 cl. I know how bose likes to go proprietary with impedance matching and all that so i was wondering can i put a new headunit in it or would i have to change everything???

I know you can with the 2nd gen CL's but not 100% sure on the 1st gen..

 

You can install an aftermarket cd player, you have to buy a harness, they run about $60. If you have them installed, it is kind of expensive. You can do it yourself, its not too complicated, but it does take alot of patience!

I know my $20 Metra wiring harness has a amp bypass on it..

 

whats the easiest way to pick one of those up? (ie, avoiding a retailer :p)
