Help With Aftermarket Stereo Install
I have an 03 acura TL type S w/ Navi ... I want to get a DVD unit installed in place of my stock deck, and I am going to d/c the Bose amp and going to remove the stock Sub, Im adding a 12" Sub, and i'm going to install 2 Amps, 1 for the Sub and one for the stock mids .... I went to the local stereo shop and the guy told me he needs to research on how to install a unit with the navi in it... the problem is no one knows how u can keep the navi workin with a new deck ( how to wire the deck and still feed the navi its power supply etc etc. ) ... I know i will lose the sound for the navi but thats ok... I just need to know how to wire the new unit and still run the navi...... he asked around and no one has the answer.... so he is trying to figure it out and so am i .... so if anyone can help me out it will be greatly appreciated!!

Yea, all you have to do is use the metra wiring harness. I put a jvc kd-avx1 in my TL this weekend and I also have navi. (I used a harness for a 98+ accord). The only thing that doesnt work is the voice for navi, otherwise everything else is fine. I am still trying to find a way to regain my navi voice w/o the use of a seperate speaker. I think the MPSS-4 that crutchfield sells will work, but I won't know until I try it. Best of luck!
