Help adding basslink
I heard the best way(from different sources) is to tap the line level signal from the head unit on an 03 CLS for signal, & tap the turn on lead also. I have a book, & have wire colors. Just want to know if these are the correct colors to tap. I want to splice in RCA's.
For turn on lead
Yellow/white = Radio switched power
For signal I have
Orange = left front -
Yellow = right front +
OR
Green = left rear -
blue = right rear +
I should only need to tap a left, & right channel for the basslink.

Yes you only need to tap a left and a right, but tap them from them both from the back (or both from the front). Here are the colors for all of them.
Speaker + -
FR YELLOW BROWN
FL WHITE ORANGE
RR BLUE BLACK
RL RED GREEN
Turn on lead YELLOW/WHITE
Easiest place to reach them is before they enter the amp in the trunk, behind the wall where the jack is.

Need more help here...
I tried several ways to wire this in. I tried splicing the RCA's into the output from the stock head unit. I didn't get any signal.
Next I got a line output converter. Spliced that into the head unit, front left & right + & -. Again no signal. This way I had to wire the ground from the converter to get the stock amp to work.
Then I wired the line out converter into the front left & right +&- speakers outputs. I still have no signal.
I'm using the wire taps that squeeze around the wire, & a male spade plug into it. I have turn on, power, & ground working fine. It's just the signal. I checked the wires, & they were contacting, & I think are in the correct place.
Am I missing something?
Going to bring it to a shop tomorrow if I can't get it to work.
