actually the jensen piece isn't all that bad, especially for the price. As for the sub, take it to an installer that knows what they are doing. Don't take it to CC or BB. Just b/c the sell it doesn't mean they know how to install. The radio will have a sub level output on it for the RCA's that is what the sub needs to be hooked up.

EDIT: i actually read you post, and yes you do need an amp for the sub. A subwoofer is not meant to be played using only the power provided by radio. Please take your car to the nearest mobile electronics shop and have them show you what needs to be fixed.

So your basically running the subwoofer off of the deck?

If so...then disconnect the sub right away and go get an amp.

Dude, you live in NYC, home of more qualified installers than any city in the world.

Go to Movin' On Sound on the Island and get them to fix your shit. You don't know what you're doing, so get pro backup, k?
